I just returned from the car repair shop. It might not seem like a fun thing to do for Christmas, but I'm so glad to have the work done. $600?? Well, it was in dire straits. Now it's happy again.
So I drove over to the next county, since this is a dry county, to buy wine to celebrate Christmas and the joy of being back in my car. This is wine country, and I bought two liters of White Muscadine from the local winery. It's been more than two weeks since my car has been functional. I thought I was going to use Mrs. Billingsley's car for a while, but then, boom. The engine exploded in her car last week. Well, that's OK. The dear car did a good job for a long time. Now I want to buy a Camry. But you have a car! Well, yes. A very nice car with 200,000 miles. Who knows? Maybe it will last for a million miles. I think it will just start to have more and more repairs. Today was not a problem. It had its great tune up, a major brake overhaul, an oil change, and a new air filter. But, I thinkI should transition into a Camry now. My dear Mercury can be the backup.
What else? I bought Kentucky Fried Chicken for dinner. On Tuesday they have a special - 8 pieces for $10, and chicken livers. Yippee!
